HORNE is a professional services firm founded on a cornerstone of public accounting. HORNE seeks a paralegal to provide support for the General Counsel and other in-house attorneys. The paralegal will assist the General Counsel and other in-house attorneys to meet the firm’s legal needs, including litigation management, contract management, and other legal and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
Assist attorneys in the preparation and review of legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, memoranda, contracts, and other agreements for accuracy and completeness.
Assists in review and production of documents in response to subpoenas
Investigates facts and law of cases to determine legal strategies
Performs other clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, providing information to callers, composing and typing routine correspondence, and reading and routing incoming mail
Files correspondence and legal documents in office filing system.
Ensures proper indexing and filing of original legal documents.
Drafting, editing, and proofreading letters, memos, reports, and other forms of documentation needed by the attorney.
Maintain and adhere to compliance policies and procedures
Use software applications and legal and non-legal databases to produce legal related reports and documents and conduct factual research
Logically solve problems with little supervision
Regular and timely attendance.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
High School diploma is required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies is preferred.
2-5 years legal industry experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office

Experience in both litigation and corporate transactional legal practices
