The Senior Identity & Access Management Engineer (Information Protection Senior Advisor) bridges GRC (Governance & Regulatory Compliance) and the rest of the organization. We are responsible for providing the IT infrastructure which controls access to the critical applications and platforms utilized by the business. Our department works with internal application teams, IT, and members of the GRC division to ensure alignment with internal audit teams as well as continued regulatory compliance for our external auditors. The Identity & Access Management Advisor will be responsible for reviewing and documenting logical account management practices at the appliance, application, OS, and/or database layers of systems that are in scope for regulatory certifications. Entitlement Access Controls are operated to enforce the principle of Least Privilege and meet stringent regulatory requirements. These controls are tested by external auditors for accuracy and completeness which requires flawless and consistent execution.

Responsibilities


  • Collaborate among cross-functional internal stakeholders to analyze, document, communicate and validate business and system requirements of existing Identity Governance processes.

  • Define, validate, and review roles/entitlements.

  • Conduct entitlement validation certifications as defined by audit controls.

  • Design and implement identity governance workflows with the concepts of audit and attestation in mind.

  • Participate in the installation, integration, deployment, and support of IAM tools.

Qualifications


  • High School diploma; Associates degree preferred.

  • Hands-on experience in Identity and Access Management tools such as Saviynt.

  • Ability to plan, design, develop, and conduct entitlement revalidations.

  • Experience with application entitlements and (RBAC) Role-Based Access Controls.

  • Assess authentication and authorization schemas with application/system (SME) Subject Matter Experts.

  • Educate system SMEs on the role their silo plays in the larger regulatory eco-system.

  • Assist systems SMEs in the identification of regulatory scope in their environment. This includes but is not limited to identifying environments, servers, user population, system functions, and permissions.

  • Document positive and negative attestation of system scope.

  • Document in-scope accounts and their effective permissions.

  • Analyze the business need of current accounts and effective permission sets.

  • Relaying technical data to business-focused individuals (removing jargon).

  • Knowledge/Experience in SOX/SOC1/SOC2 regulatory certifications.

  • Ability to consolidate and present control evidence to auditors.

  • Effective and appropriate communication skills for working with both technical teams and business end-users.

  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies.

  • Experience writing and using SQL Queries.

  • Basic experience with Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Segregation of Duties (SOD), and information security management concepts.
