Business Analytics Senior Advisor (National Contracts) - Evernorth at Cigna in Chattanooga, Tennessee

Job Description:

Summary

Collaborate, strategize, and communicate results for large national contracts/segments to clients and key internal partners such as Sales and Underwriting. Person will be responsible for aggregating program results (both pre and post implementation), designing data, reports and business processes so that we can respond to requests in timely manner, collaborate with Client Reporting and Sales on communicating those results, and presentation of results to internal and external partners. Manage, train, and mentor other business analyst(s) on Client/Segment Reporting team.

This position is with Evernorth, a new business within Cigna Corporation.

Responsibilities


  • Responsible for partnering with the National Contracting, Client Reporting, Sales and other analysts on the National Affordability Initiatives team to understand data needs, financial levers and client/segment optics needed to message the value of our national programs in an efficient and effective manner


  • Oversees team to ensure timelines and quality goals are met. Train staff to ensure they develop the knowledge and skills needed to pull data/perform analytics in efficient and effective manner


  • Manage the provision of data and analytics as needed to support National Vendor contract analytics at the client and segment level


  • Cultivate and maintain working relationships with all internal and external partners. Be a subject matter expert on the impacts of our national programs and provide strategic guidance to business partners


  • Able to think critically and improve processes to optimize results


  • Function well in a fast paced environment


  • Communicate contract performance and opportunities as needed to business partners including National Contracting, Clinical, Local Market mgmt, other Network Analytics, etc.


  • Provide both technical and leadership guidance to less experienced analysts on the team


Qualifications


  • 5+ years of financial analysis and planning experience with demonstrated ability to perform financial analysis at macro and micro levels


  • Proficiency with Excel, SAS, and Tableau to pull and analyze data


  • Strong technical data skills and strong knowledge of systems, processes and methodologies


  • String communication skills including being comfortable discussing program/segment dynamics and impacts of our national contracts with a wide array of technical and non-technical business partners


  • Ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities


  • Ability to think critically and develop creative solutions/analytics to address complex problems


  • Proven ability to work independently while also fully leveraging matrix relationships


  • Familiarity with concepts in provider reimbursement, fee schedules & contract modeling or the ability to quickly learn


  • Experience in healthcare analytics is preferred


This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
