ABOUT THE JOB

At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams.

We have an opening for a Processing Supervisor in our Dubois, Pennsylvania manufacturing facility. As a Processing Supervisor you will be managing and mobilizing a team of hourly associates to ensure Safety, Quality and Productivity goals are met. You will be responsible for developing, owning and driving 30/60/90-day plans to achieve SQCDMN (safety, quality, cost, delivery, mobilization and nature) results.

Additionally, you will:


  • Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

  • Demonstrate progress towards communicated objectives.

  • Ensure adherence to plant standards (including but not limited to GMP, AIB, FDA, DaMaWay, Quality, Safety, Finance, ISO)

  • Improve and maintain communicated performance standards for the department; managing with the flexibility to react as needed when breakdowns arise

  • Work cross functionally with other departments within operations to ensure production requirement

  • Ensure departmental SOP's are current and utilized by all hourly associates; will also provide necessary job specific training as warranted.

  • Validate time and attendance through daily and weekly reviews of your employee timecards

  • Complete regular, formal and informal evaluations and feedback of the performance of hourly associates

  • Play an active role in the growth and development of employees (this includes regular performance conversations in addition to discussions about professional growth and career development).

  • Ensure departmental compliance with company's policies and procedures

  • Drive accountability through strong leadership and setting consistent expectations

  • Perform root cause analysis, problem solving, and follow-up related to operational and safety incidents within the department.

  • Address employee concerns; elevate to next level leadership as needed

About you

ABOUT YOU

  • You have a Bachelor's Degree; (BS Degree in Chemical /Mechanical/Industrial Engineer is preferred)

  • You have 3-5 years of experience supervising in a manufacturing/processing environment, required. Previous supervisory experience within a food/beverage environment is preferred.

  • You have familiarity with CIP/HAACP/AIB

  • You have demonstrated continuous improvement and/or lean manufacturing experience.

  • You have quantitative analysis skills including the ability to manage and understanding budgeting and loss analysis.

  • You have a thorough understanding of fluid dynamics

  • You have excellent analytical, troubleshooting, conflict management and problem-solving skills

  • You have demonstrated planning, communication and supervisory skills

  • You have flexibility to work various shifts where weekends and nights may be required

  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • You are resourceful and have strong decision-making ability

  • You can work under pressure and potentially stressful conditions, and work independently with minimal direction to achieve departmental objectives.

  • You are self-motivated and a self-starter
