The Senior Director of Global Field Applications Engineering (Sr. Dir. GFAE) leads a team of industry aligned Field Applications Engineers (FAEs) in collaboration with FARO Sales at focus accounts to deliver on revenue targets within the 3D measurement, imaging, and realization marketplace. The Sr. Dir. GFAE accomplishes this through continuous development of their teams, facilitating and participating in collaboration between key stakeholders, building relationships directly with customers, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role also creates an environment on their team that inspires mastery of technical skill, driving business impact through ensuring customer success, and being the voice of the Field in driving solutions through internal collaboration.

You have:
Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Engineering
Minimum 10 years of experience in Field Applications Engineering management in a relevant high-tech industry
Expertise in building relationships and credibility with customers and employees
Highly proficient with MS Office, Salesforce (CRM)
English language competency and strong oral and written communication skills
Extensive International experience required (EMEA, APAC, Japan)
Venue selection, agenda, ground transportation logistics, Audio/Visual, team building activities, mobile app support, driving technical content, Gallery of Customer Success
Employs internal and / or external resources to guarantee a world-class event
Coaching and developing their teams to increase impact on business and personal growth
Driving the adoption and disciplined use of the CRM
Providing direction on CRM enhancements (i.e., funnel yields, velocities, meaningful loss / win reasons, statistical revenue prediction from the funnel, etc.)
Establishing a cadence for Top 10 opportunity reviews on a global basis
Collaborate with Human Resources to develop a quantitative focal review process
Collaborate with Sales Operations to deliver a simple and consistent set of templates used in data reporting (revenue forecast, customer opportunity updates, competitive threats, etc.)
Drive the adoption of Net Promoter Score (NPS) to quantitatively measure customer success / loyalty
Continuously growing their network of both FARO and external contacts through relationship building and recruiting
Interacting directly with Sales Management and Business Unit leadership in developing industry strategies
Enabling and executing initiatives within the Support and Sales organization towards company strategy
Staying current on FARO's industry strategies and adjusting FAE strategies and development plans to improve outcomes
Embodying a customer centric mindset and championing the needs of their customers to a diverse set of stakeholders
Instituting a "Skills & Expertise" matrix across the global FAE team
Develop strategies and methods to reduce FAE time spent on post-sales support so as to maximize time on pre-sales activities
Collaborate with Sales management on assignment of quarterly MBOs
