Core Training Support


Advancia Technologies, LLC is seeking a qualified candidate with two to four (2-4) years' experience in an operational flying unit to fulfill a support training function.


Location: Sheppard Air Force Base, Wichita Falls, Texas


Summary:


We are seeking qualified Core Training support personnel for Headquarters Air Education and Training Command (HQ AETC) at Sheppard AFB Wichita Falls, Texas.


Core Training Support:



  • The training support function shall be responsible for creating, updating, reviewing and maintaining documents and training records and folders, to be approved by the Training Officer. ensure compliance with the 11-2MDSV1 (Note 1) 11-2ap 1- 9), AETCI 36-2605 Volume1 (all chapters) other applicable AETCI 36-2605 volumes (all chapters), MAJCOM supplements, syllabus, and local guidance for AETC permanent, associate and attached aircrew as well as students where applicable.

  • Assist with permanent party faculty upgrade, development, currency, and qualification closeout.

  • Prepare and monitor local training/testing programs for aircrew as well as waiver requests for staffing.

  • Present them to the Training Officer or designated official for approval.

  • Coordinate with the Registrar, Current Operations/Flying Training unit (FTU) Operations, individual flights, andscheduling whenneeded.

  • Update data in MS and locally developed computer database systems as needed.

  • Perform periodic training folder/MS template reviews. Ensure that training folders/MS templates have been properly filled out by student, instructor and reviewer IAW guidance issued by Training Officer as needed.

  • Perform the following permanent, associate and attached aircrew training support:



  • Ensure permanent, associate and attached aircrew are loaded into appropriate MS; set up locally required theater indoctrination/syllabuses/re-qualification templates/gradebooks in MS as needed and review training documents to ensure compliance with 11-MDS-V1 and supplemental guidance (Note 1), AFI 11-290 Crew Resource Management, AFI 11-202V1, supplements, and locally developed syllabus/program.

  • Prepare training folders for closeout by Training Officer or designated official IAW syllabus, AETCI 36- 2605 V1 and other applicable volume (all chapters) as well as locally established guidance

  • Prepare semi-annual proration documents as well as waiver requests for approval by Training Officer IAW local format (i.e., Memorandum for Record).

  • Prepare Non-Mission-Ready memorandum (or equivalent) and corrective action plans for approval by Training Officer on a semi-annual basis IAW local procedures as needed.

  • Interface with Host Aviation Resource Management (HARM) personnel or Squadron Aviation Resource Management (SARM) personnel, if available, to update the Aviation Resource Management System (ARMS) or equivalent systems as needed.

  • Ensure the tasks in ARMS are accurately reflected in MS when needed.


  • Create, review, and update training recordsper the applicable guidance cited in paragraph 2.4 above.

  • Consolidate, maintain, and publish a schedule of training events and classes using locally established norms.

  • Coordinate with appropriate scheduling authorities to ensure crewmembers are scheduled for ground or ancillary training, listed in the 11-2MDSV1 (Note 1), 11-202V1 as well as applicable MAJCOM and local supplements.

  • Coordinate with the Unit Deployment Manager as needed to ensure pre-deployment training requirements are met IAW listed reporting instructions.

  • Perform all Ancillary Training Monitor duties to include managing the unit ancillary training program, tracking all ancillary training using established procedures and ensuring unit members accomplish recurring training IAW established timelines and procedures in AFI 36-2201 Ch 7.

  • Provide weekly tracking of ancillary training accomplishment for the unit Training Officer (or equivalent) as well as monthly summaries for the DO and Commander; deadline will be as identified by the unit.

  • Prepare, route, and execute periodic training plans IAW 11- 2MDSV1 (Note 1) as needed.

  • Prepare slides or other needed products for Training Officer approval for use in updates to squadron leadership containing the flight and readiness status of personnel.

  • Provide daily tracking of upgrade and continuation training accomplishment for the Training Officer, Operations Supervisor or equivalent as well as weekly summaries for the DO; deadline will be identified by the unit.

  • Generate, review and edit the following reports/forms IAW local procedure/policy when required in performance of their duties:


Common Task Requirements:



  • Operate office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, phone systems and use computers for spreadsheets, word processing, database management, electronic mail and other applications.

  • Prepare reports, memos, letters, forms, briefings, emails and other documents using Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software.

  • Make changes to Word documents, modify Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations to enhance their effectiveness or to repair/correct minor errors.

  • Utilize the Graduate/ Training Integrated Management System (GTIMS) and/or comparable weapon system specific Training Management System (TMS) or equivalent; GTIMS, TMS, Patriot Excalibur (PEX), or equivalent will be referred to as Management Systems (MS)

  • Provide customer service as needed and respond to information requests

  • Establish and maintain paper and electronic filing systems for records, correspondence and other materials IAW USAF Records Management standards as defined in AFMAN 33-363 (Chap 1-7), Air Force Instruction (AFI) 33-322 (Chap 1-7), AFI 33-332 associated AETC/Installation supplements, and locally developed guidance.

  • Compose, type, and distribute notes, routine correspondence and reports in the format established by their assigned organization.

  • Prepare official document in formats specified by the Air Force Handbook 33-337,

  • Create and maintain continuity folders

  • Accomplish any training necessary to execute tasks

  • Perform in-processing and out-processing functions of personnel

  • Provide quarterly inputs to Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT)

  • Complete MICT communicators applicable to programs they are assigned, identify deficiencies, create and administer Corrective Action Plans using fact-finding and problem analysis, and track to resolution.


Education & Experience Requirements:



  • High School Diploma required

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a DoD operational flying unit (active duty, guard/reserve, contractor or civilian).

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to operate the following systems/programs:



  • Computer based training and integrated management system (TIMS, GTIMS, PEX, X-plan)

  • SharePoint websites and communities of practice



  • Microsoft Access is a plus


Other Requirements:



  • Must be physically able to perform all the technical duties

  • Must be able to adapt under a highly stressful multi-task environment for extended periods of time/up to 8 hours

  • If prior service, must have received an honorable discharge

  • Applicant will be subject to Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

  • Position upon award of contract
