General Summary:

Build a production schedule that supports the sales and operations plans that will maximize labor while providing a high level of customer service. Works with manufacturing to ensure level schedules in accordance with plant capacity and key performance indicator.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Create, modify, and update the sales and operation plan for one or more BU plant locations based on inputs from sales, manufacturing, and management.

  • Establish schedules in accordance with the overall sales and operations plan.

  • Recognize and suggest changes to daily capacity and opportunities for labor reduction.

  • Implement changes resulting from engineering or customer requests.

  • Answer inquiries from the sales department pertaining to production status of an order.

  • Coordinate multiple production schedules to support shipping metrics and customer commitments.

  • Communicate schedule activities with operations staff, supply chain, and all necessary appropriate business functions.

  • Support and participate in continuous improvement activities.

  • Verify and adjust the schedule in accordance with the availability of critical parts.

  • Provide support and communication between sales and production facility for schedule changes and cancelations. Reserves capacity for short lead time programmed orders.

  • Communicates daily to production schedule changes due to short lead time programmed orders through delivery of proper paperwork to the floor in a timely manner.

Business Unit Specific Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Actively participate in facility safety program, taking lead role with level 1 safety project management.


  • Participate in daily production meetings to drive consistent results and achieve 80% schedule attainment.

  • Lead weekly manpower discussions with Production Managers and Supervisors.

Job Qualifications:


  • Work requires extensive technical or specialized training such as that which would be acquired in the first two or three years of college or technical school.

  • Between 0-12 months' work experience.

Business Unit Specific Qualifications:


  • Proficient in MS Excel with ability to navigate between multiple data sources, generate complex formulas and preform analysis.


  • General working knowledge of navigating SAP or similar program.
