THE OPPORTUNITY:

We have an exciting opportunity for a midlevel Trademark Attorney to join our internationallyrecognized trademark practice.

Our Litigation Department of more than 170 lawyers across the firm's global platform offers a full-service litigation practice, with specific practice areas in commercial litigation, consumer financial services litigation, product liability, bankruptcy, class action defense, construction, eDiscovery, government contracts, trade secrets, computer fraud and non-competes, intellectual property, and securities. THE DAY-TO-DAY:

As an attorney in the Litigation Department, you'll have the opportunity to work on interesting, challenging, and groundbreaking cases in collaboration with senior attorneys.

• Represents defendants and plaintiffs in both domestic and foreign trademark matters


• Identify, evaluate, and protect important trademark assets.


• Litigate trademark, false advertising, and unfair competition disputes in federal and state courts


• Prosecute counterfeiting actions and execute seizures of counterfeit goods, including coordination with US Customs


• Prosecute and defend oppositions, cancellations, and appeals before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) of the US Patent and Trademark Office


• Prosecute and defend domain name proceedings under the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy and similar policies


• Assert and defend false advertising and deceptive trade practice actions before the Federal Trade Commission, the National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus, and other federal and state agencies
  
  

YOU HAVE:

• 
  4-6 years of experience in U.S. and international trademarkprosecutionand portfolio management, including:
  
  
  • International trademark searching and clearance
  
  
  • Trademark oppositions, cancellations, anti-counterfeiting and other adverse matters
  
  
  • Trademark licensing
  
  
  • 
    Domain name, social media, internet and related trademark matters
