Job Summary

First American Trust's Investment Management expertise is provided with an understanding of client objectives. Setting expectations, understanding goals, and respecting the uniqueness of each client is the foundation for delivering desired results and building trusted partnerships with our clients. The primary objective is to be a key member of the Wealth Management Team and implement investment decisions considering client objectives and constraints. Also assists Wealth Management Advisors in new business development providing technical expertise in the process.

The Portfolio Manager is responsible for the delivery of a wide array of investment services across a diverse high net worth client base. As a Portfolio Manager, you will act as the main point of contact with clients. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of the client's overall portfolio investment strategy, including client profiling, portfolio construction and implementation of First American Trust's investment policy.

This position may be remote and will cover our Southeast territory with potential for travel in the future.

Essential Functions

• Manage investment portfolios per client objectives and company policies and guidelines.


• Responsible for the assessment and analysis of portfolio returns and risk in client portfolios to rebalance in a tax-efficient manner.


• Explain investment strategy and performance to existing clients.


• Provide technical investment expertise in new business development.


• Responsible for articulation of our current economic and market views, outlook, portfolio positioning, security selection, and construction.


• Monitor investment management account activities for compliance and results.


• First American Trust employees are expected to comply with applicable company policies and procedures, as well as federal and state laws and regulations.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree required, Post Graduate degree or designation preferred (MBA or CFA)


• 10+ years professional experience in portfolio management and investments required.


• Familiar with High Net Worth and Institutional client needs and objectives.


• Proficiency with advanced financial and statistical concepts, trading, and research.


• Significant specialized knowledge of global financial markets and macro-economics.


• Seasoned sales and presentations skills, both oral and written, to sophisticated and diverse prospects and clients.
