Clinical adult PA or relevant experience in developing and running patient care programs
Diagnoses and treats illnesses and injuries
Renders emergency care
Performs comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations
Performs surgical procedures
Handles discharge planning and dictates discharge summaries
Performs comprehensive and problem-focused histories
Orders and interprets laboratory and radiographic studies
Facilitates patient referral to the appropriate physician or agency
Presents the patient to attending surgeons, if needed
Helps to formulate treatment plans
Performs first assist duties in surgery
Conducts daily hospital rounds
Write orders and progress notes
Performs admissions to include history and physicals
Is available to see patients requiring same-day office visits
Evaluates post-operative patients and does routine follow-up visits
Education/Training:
Must have excellent computer skills specifically MS Office, Diagnostic imaging systems, and EMR
Bachelor's required; Master's in Physician Assistant Studies, Health Science, or Medical Science required.
Must possess current state license where practicing and be nationally certified as National Commissioned Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) required

Background in Neuro or Spinal experience
Ability to write post-op orders
Provide health care services to patients under direction and responsibility of physician including assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating, and educating patients
