We are looking for a full-time Industrial Engineer 2 for our headquarters in the greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for providing analysis and input on physical layout design of workspaces for maximum flexibility and productivity, ensuring demand requirements are met. Other essential functions include: 


  • Analyze, design and implement ergonomics within Operations to enhance productivity, reduce fatigue and ensure a safe work environment

  • Mockup and test new processes and/or equipment including development of designed experiments for process and quality improvements

  • Analyze, justify and implement special packaging projects, including tooling and equipment set-up

  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills in collaboration with warehouse and service associates, as well as managers and director

  • Collaborates and adds value in engineering design reviews 

  • Completes cost analyses and provides justification for new equipment 

  • Understands and implements lean tools and methods in performance of essential functions 

  • Estimate level of effort for a task

Qualified candidates possess a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, or another related engineering discipline from a four-year college or university AND a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Other requirements include:


  • Demonstrates full use of industry standards and procedures 

  • Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)

  • Demonstrated proficiency and knowledge in use of engineering tools

  • Demonstrated understanding of basic warehouse, manufacturing and/or service processes


Previous work or internship experience in a warehouse environment is highly preferred!
