Job Description

The IT Desktop Support Technician Lvl 3 will be based in Austin, TX and will be responsible for maintaining production as well as users’ computers and software. The ideal technician will be able to apply their advanced knowledge and skills to assist in the operations for Flex as well as its customers.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do…


  • Ensure compliance of computers systems and there SOX requirements per IT and Company policies

  • Ensure Systems are updated and maintained (Patches, OS Build Upgrades)

  • Provide technical support for end users (Other Employees and customers)

  • Timely response to all task or projects assigned

  • Use advanced troubleshooting skills to resolve issues

  • Ensure that the process and procedures are followed

  • Provide feedback to clients and keep them informed

  • Manage Ticket and project assignments until there completion

  • Provide documentation for work completed as well as guides for new projects or procedures

  • Maintain ticket SLAs to ensure they are resolved in a timely manner

  • Work with your fellow techs to complete site projects and troubleshoot issues

  • Other task expected from the role:

    • Ability to configure Wi-Fi Connections

    • Office 365, Office 2019, Box, Okta (SSO)

    • Deploy Windows/MacOS Desktops & Laptops in a MS Domain

    • Update Inventory and Asset Logging System

    • General network connectivity troubleshooting

    • Reset passwords for user Active Directory Accounts

    • Manage Computer accounts in Active Directory

    • Setup and maintain Zoom Conference Rooms

    • Assist users with Zoom usage (Audio/Video Issues)

    • Provide User training as needed

    • Assist users with Workspace One Issues on cellphones

    • Provides day to day desktop support to user/customer community

    • Computer and network system maintenance

    • Installing and troubleshooting Engineering software (AutoCAD, Pervue, etc)

    • Image computers with MDT



Here is some of what you’ll need for this role (required)…


  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail

  • Good interpersonal skills and strong follow thru with end users

  • Minimum 2 years of desktop support experience

  • Must be proficient with:

    • Windows 7/8/10

    • MacOS

    • Jamf Policy Management

    • iOS/Android devices

    • BitLocker Encryption

    • Server 2016/2019

    • Active Directory

    • VLANs, TCPIP Settings

    • Office 2016/2019, Office 365

    • VPN software (Global Connect)

    • IT Ticketing Systems

    • Printers (HP, Xerox, Zebra)

    • Mass Image Deploying Solutions (WinPE, SSCM, WDS or MDT)



Bonus, but (not required)


  • Experience with Hardware and Software procurement (Aquire)

  • 2d & 3d barcode scanners

  • Familiar with Zoom and Zoom Room setups

  • Experience with Shure Mics and Polycom systems

  • ServiceNow (Ticketing System)

  • Microsoft Deployment Toolkit Server configuration & Image Management
