Job Description:

Planning & Testing Workstream Lead

CCB Business Resiliency's mission is to continuously improve our businesses' ability to provide outstanding products and services to our customers in the event of any disruption. The Planning & Testing Team provides guidance and governance as business stakeholders develop their Business Resiliency Plans and related artifacts in accordance with JPMC Firm-Wide Business Resiliency (FBR) Standards. The Firm-Wide standards are under reevaluation to address heightened regulatory expectations through an effort called the Business Resiliency Uplift Program (BRUP). The Planning & Testing workstream lead will be a key contributor in the program's working groups to develop and deliver the new operating model. The lead will build a comprehensive rollout plan to ensure the new framework is understood and sustainable. Equally important, the successful workstream lead must be a culture carrier who inspires trust and development in an inclusive team environment.

Planning & Testing Workstream Lead Responsibilities:


  • Define the Business Resiliency target state outlining the people, processes and technology standards that will support resiliency planning, testing, reporting and risk assessment
  • Complete an assessment of the gaps between the current operating model and the new risk-based target state
  • Build a resiliency plan creation process, managed through a central technology platform that connects asset mapping, recovery objectives & risk-based scenarios to appropriate capability selection
  • Design a comprehensive risk-based testing program, providing assurance that the process/service's plans are executable and sustainable to achieve their resiliency objectives
  • Develop an implementation plan to close the gaps and implement the target state
  • Be an advocate for business stakeholders to inform the resiliency program where there are opportunities for improvement
  • Develop firmwide relationships (CIB, AWM, CB) to generate synergy and best practice sharing
  • Lead department centric projects that align with strengths or areas of interest for an opportunity to develop new skills and achieve important team objectives

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships built on mutual respect and trust
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills to effectively influence various levels in the organization and drive consensus
  • Superior project management and organization skills
  • Process design with a risk and controls mindset
  • Business continuity experience (accreditations are favorable- e.g., Certified Business Continuity Professional, CBCP)
  • General operations knowledge
  • Financial industry and/or business continuity work experience
  • Experience in regulated environments
