We are looking for a high-energy public relations manager who is tapped into culture, the latest trends and has passion for media relations and building relationships to work on industry leading consumer apparel and sports brands.

This role will focus on supporting lifestyle and sports performance communications and work in close partnership with a leading client n the outdoor apparel industry. The ideal candidate will work with the communications teams to support earned media strategies and creative ideas that connect these brands with consumers through pop culture. You'll be working with different teams to bring these ideas to life through music, sport, fashion, art, film and more. The role requires not only someone with a passion for lifestyle, but also passionate about apparel marketing. The successful candidate will also enjoy managing multiple projects, supporting high-profile media activations, coordinating quickly changing logistics and more. The successful candidate should also have experience working with media, strong writing skills and creative thinking.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


    • Research, uncover and develop story angles that will drive media interest for client campaigns

    • Help identify and craft media pitches that drive press coverage

    • Contribute to cultivating long-term relationships with key lifestyle, fashion, fitness, sports and consumer media and influencers on behalf of clients

    • Help support and manage day-do-day account programs

    • Help draft press materials and internal communications documents

    • Stay on the pulse of culture and industry trends - keeping up and interacting with relevant media and influencers on a regular basis

    • Work collaboratively with cross-agency functions (Talent & Influencer, Branded Experiences, Branded Content, etc.) for broader client programs and activations

    • Own account monitoring and reporting processes, as well as upkeep of brand media lists

    • Own product inventory seeding, product ordering for press opportunities and organization of product inventory

    • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends, and demonstrate an understanding of how they integrate into communications programs

    • Attend regular client meetings and conference calls

Qualifications


    • 1-2 years of relevant experience in integrated communications and/or related fields, including research, advertising, management consulting, media or publishing (lifestyle consumer brand experience preferred)

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university

    • A solid grasp of all basic public relations tools - including research, writing and editing, and developing/maintaining media relationships - and how they are used to achieve client goals

    • A fundamental understanding of media outreach assignments and the ability to apply experience and initiative in developing media strategies

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with multiple levels of internal staff and external clients

    • The ability to navigate the ever-changing earned and social media landscape

    • The interest and drive to stay on top of trends and proactively recommend opportunities for insertion of clients in pop culture moments

    • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to work

    • A strong work ethic, the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and be a team player
