If you are a Commodity or Procurement professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Therm-O-Disc has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Mansfield, Ohio location, you will set strategy and manage a supply network for sourcing assigned Direct Material Commodities. You will develop and manage a supply network design that supports the Business Units’ operational goals for customer satisfaction, operational excellence through Perfect Execution, and financial performance. 

 

 

AS A COMMODITY MANAGER, YOU WILL: 


  • Develop and implement sourcing strategy for assigned commodities that achieve defined supply chain objectives and prepares and presents the strategy for periodic management and executive reviews.

  • Be responsibile for development, qualification, and approval of all respective suppliers.

  • Monitor and report on all key performance indicators with responsibility for ensuring all suppliers meet the minimum performance requirements.

  • Manage a strategic business relationship with key preferred suppliers including periodic performance reviews with a preferred supplier and Business Unit management teams.

  • Lead contract negotiation, administration, and compliance including provisions for price, delivery, payment terms, regulatory compliance, and Perfect Execution performance metrics.

  • Lead E-Sourcing events including spend analysis, RFQ strategy, supplier selection, bid analysis, award strategy, and implementation.

  • Have fiscal management for profit contribution, trade working capital efficiency, and capital spending within assigned commodities.

  • Manage supply chain sustainability with a focus on capacity, tooling life cycle management, raw material availability, supply risk assessment, and trade compliance.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • Associates degree in Business, Materials, Engineering or other technical disciplines with a minimum of six (6) years experience in materials related field.

  • A good technical aptitude and very solid understanding of engineering drawing specification and manufacturing process requirements and controls.

  • Proven communication and teamwork skills enabling effective working relationships in virtual teams comprised of international members located in other sites.

  • Excellent negotiation skills and experienced in contract administration.

  • Knowledge and experience with financial and economic evaluations is beneficial.

  • Requires up to 35% travel to other Therm-O-Disc locations and suppliers.

  • Legal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.


 

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Materials, Engineering or other related technical disciplines with a minimum of three (3) years experience in materials related field.
