JOB PURPOSE

The Inside Sales Rep is primarily responsible for initiating and supporting sales activities of established accounts across a group of companies that sell, rent and service various types of machinery.

As the Inside Sales Rep, you'll primarily be responsible for providing centralized support to a network of Sales Reps. You'll develop a strong knowledge of the products and solutions offered then use that knowledge to assist Sales Reps achieve their goals. The new Inside Sales Rep will initially inherit an established portfolio of customers representing ~10% of current total revenue with an expectation to grow that business. You'll focus on identifying new and continued revenue opportunities for established accounts. You'll monitor and maintain customer account data and contractual agreements to ensure existing revenue streams are continuous and uninterrupted. At times, you may be the first point of contact with a new or existing customer, so must build instant rapport then determine the right path to customer satisfaction whether it's refer them to the appropriate Sales Rep or handle the sale yourself. You'll also participate in customer facing marketing and relationship building activities to ultimately drive revenue growth.

This newly created position will be part of a high-performing sales team that will play a critical role in achieving sales goals. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with superior customer service and relationship building skills who thrives at sales and sales support. This is a non-exempt position with commission.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES


  • Promotes all aspects of customer businesses by selling equipment, parts, service, labor and Customer Support Agreements (CSA) and providing capital equipment sales leads
  • Proactively manages assigned accounts/territory employing disciplined call campaigns. Qualifies and updates customer accounts and begins to develop relationship. Acts as single point-of-contact to customer
  • Maintains accurate customer account information and machine population allowing for targeting of specific customers for sales and promotions along with tracking of specific account and territory goals
  • Develops and qualifies equipment and/or parts and service leads. Forwards to sales team as appropriate
  • Participates in ongoing internal/external training courses and various events, including trade shows, marketing events, etc., to keep abreast of changes maintaining a high level of knowledge
  • May perform other duties as required and assigned
