Role and Responsibilities

POSITION & REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY:

We are looking for an experienced Manager of Creative Services and Communications. A savvy storyteller to build and drive a comprehensive communication and branding strategy/execution plan that inspires and educates employees, customers and partners globally. In this role, you will lead the evolution of our brand and modernize how we bring our mission to life across all customer engagement platforms: sales collateral, video, social media, search, trade shows and promotion. You will partner with multiple stakeholders, and you must be a strong team player, a self-starter, strategic thinker and highly adaptable. You will be joining a high tech, agile division of a multi-billion-dollar company with an audacious mission of making healthcare safer. This position is located anywhere in the continental US and reports to the Chief Marketing officer.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Lead, create and execute our internal and external story telling vision, strategy, and overall plan.

  • Lead and manage a team that will create and deliver all assets and campaigns to launch and drive sales momentum for all new and existing products and services to our target customer markets (hospitals, nursing schools, and OEMs).

  • Collaborate with our director of commercial marketing to create, execute and measure the effectiveness of our commercial promotional plan.

  • Work with business teams to create compelling, energy-generating content supporting key strategic messages and highlighting CAE's Healthcare vision to enable our employees, customers to make Healthcare safer.

  • Help build effective channels, strategies, media, and methods to reach our clients, partners and employees.

  • Build a communications library of stories and presentation materials.

  • Develop a clear and engaging rhythm of communication that impact positively our clients, partners and employees.

  • Develop and support a multi-channel communications plan and messaging framework.

  • Strengthen the CAE brand and its Professional offering through the execution of effective, coordinated communications campaigns targeting the industry, clients and other key influencers with a focus on raising awareness of the CAE brand.

  • Increase the effectiveness of the marketing communications team that is responsible for creating business insights to optimize the total marketing budget and increase the overall alignment between marketing and sales organizations.

  • Supervise and direct the workflow of marketing, communication specialists by assigning job tasks, facilitating interdepartmental communications and managing external communications.

  • Maintain close relationships with internal business and sales teams to identify potential story ideas, social posts, big wins and other profile-raising opportunities.

  • Lead and manage a team of regular employees and freelancers through the entire HR lifecycle.

  • Support presence at industry events, trade shows and product demonstrations.

  • Identify opportunities to outsource specific marketing functions.

  • Manage the marketing budget including the budget allocation and relationships with external communications agencies.

  • Act as liaison to CAE Corporate Communications team to embrace culture, trickle down messaging and work to achieve demonstrable successes for the business.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Authorized to work in the US.

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Writing, Communications, Marketing or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and / or practical experience.

  • 7 years' minimum professional experience in either a creative agency with a record of direct management of healthcare clients, or a marketing communication leadership role in a large corporation.

  • 3 years' minimum experience managing a team of marketing professionals.

  • Proficient in the following areas of marketing: Development and execution of marketing strategies Marketing communications, Customer understanding, Business and Financial Acumen.

  • Travel (less than 20%).

  • Complies with and enforces all applicable safety rules, regulations and procedures both at CAE Healthcare and wherever CAE Healthcare is represented (i.e., program site, trade show, etc.).

PREFERRED:


  • Master's degree in business, communication or relevant studies.

  • Experience working in a Pharma, Med Device, or health sciences industry.

  • High interpersonal awareness, ability to impact and influence, and behaving with both a customer-obsessed mindset, while maintaining a team-first attitude.

  • Advanced organizational skills, cross-organizational collaboration, and proficient at balancing competing projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Possess passion for communications, creativity and storytelling, including utilization of new channels, strategies, multimedia and other tools are effective to inform and engage people.


  • Proficient with a variety of marketing concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • Expert user of all Adobe Creative Cloud software (In Design, Photoshop, etc.)

  • Experience leveraging salesforce.com, e-mail platform (Pardot, etc.)

  • Proficiency in business-related computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Possess outstanding written, verbal and visual communication, and presentation skills.

  • Eye for graphic design and multi-media creative content.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds daily and ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.

  • Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment.

  • Ability to speak to and hear employees via phone and in person.

  • Routinely sit, stand and walk throughout the day.
