Job Description Summary

The La Jolla Light newspaper is looking for a Digital Designer to create and update print/digital advertising and marketing material using rich media and other state of the art techniques.

Job Description

Education/Certification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Design, or related field; or, experience equivalent to degree.

Work Experience:

• A minimum of 1-3 years in graphic design and/or marketing production for print publications or media agencies

                                                                                                                   

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• Excellent design and desktop publishing skills, as well as artistic ability and creative thinking


• Expert prepress knowledge and fluency in Adobe Creative Suite, as well as proficient use of database for production


• Ability to communicate effectively, work well with others, and follow direction
