DESCRIPTION

In our Charleston, West Virginia office, the successful candidate will work under the direction of a Project Engineer or Project Manager in the office to prepare roadway or structural bridge plans, technical reports, and cost estimates. Candidate may also work on-site under the direction of an Engineer assisting with construction management and documenting bridge inspection activities, work from inspection equipment including man lifts, bucket trucks and under bridge inspection units.

• Prepare civil and environmental engineering plans, which would include roadway, highway, and/or structural bridge plans, specifications, and cost estimates
• Create roadway corridor models
• Coordinate with multi-discipline design team
• Perform on-site bridge inspection/ documentation
• Report writing under the guidance of an Engineer

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Working toward a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or similar program
• Software proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Knowledge or experience using AutoCAD and/or Microstation preferred
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong written/verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in organization and presentation of documentation
