Position Summary

The Information Security Senior Engineer position is a hands-on engineering role for someone who likes working in multi-disciplined teams within the Wintrust technology environment. The Information Security Senior Engineer will provide expert technical guidance and hands on validation of security solutions during the design, development, and testing of systems supporting the Wintrust products and services. The Information Security Senior Engineer will drive through close collaboration with the development organization adoption of SDLC and security best practices across the entire application lifecycle.

Key Accountabilities

• Manage and support application security technologies and program.
• Develop strategy and drive encryption standards for enterprise data initiatives.
• Lead implementation of new secure coding techniques and methods within development community; serve as application security subject matter expert for business and information technology partners.
• Identify security vulnerabilities in commercial software as well as in-house developed applications.
• Develop and implement testing methodology for web applications and API testing.
• Develop comprehensive security reporting, including coordinating vulnerability management, Web application and API testing.

• Bachelor degree or equivalent
• 5 years of Information Security engineering expertise
• Certifications: GWEB or CSSLP
