Overview

Two Six Labs is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer with experience developing and deploying complex systems. The candidate will join a fast-paced development team that is revolutionizing how military planners understand complex operational environments. The successful candidate will have an instinct for building out secure systems and a keen awareness of the dichotomy between reliability and new feature development. This role will require a deep understanding of application architectures as well as hands on infrastructure automation experience in both public and private clouds.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities :

• Designing and managing tooling and processes to provision additional system instances


• Integration and deployment of third-party technologies


• Pushing towards continuous delivery and testing


• Supporting and extending monitoring systems

Qualifications

Qualifications :

• A four-year degree in CS, EE, or Math or related on the job experience


• Excellent knowledge of QA automation methodologies, processes, and tools


• Experience building and supporting containerized applications


• Minimum two years of experience with public/private cloud platforms


• Minimum two years of experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Salt


• Minimum two years of experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins


• Familiarity with different virtualization platforms and technologies, such as VMWare and KVM


• Clear understanding of Git repository structure and management


• Familiarity with Agile methodologies


• Experience developing with Java and Python


• Possess understanding of Linux scripting


• Ability to iterate and deliver quickly


• Willingness jump in and solve hard problems


• Know when to ask questions


• Great communication skills


• Self-driven work ethic

Nice to haves:

• High-availability system experience


• Experience with Big Data tools (Hadoop, Spark, Cassandra)


• Experience working in research and development environments


• An active DoD clearance (Secret or above)
