Sr. Consultant, Business Process Analyst, Private Capital Administration

Summary

This position is part of the Private Capital Administration team based in Chicago. The role will be responsible for leading on large and/or complex projects. The role involves development and support of applications used by our business partners and clients in the Private Equity space. The prime responsibility of BPA team is to deal with production support, system development, new business / fund activity, facilitating client onboarding, client & operational changes/dockets and major capital & functional projects.

Expectation is to work under general supervision (but works independently most of the time). This role serves as a conduit between IT and business on technology related initiatives during the design, development, testing, implementation phases and also providing production support on such new applications/systems/functionalities. Functional expertise is required.

Major Duties

•Provide analysis and takes ownership throughout the lifecycle of the project from scoping, high level business requirements, detailed business requirements and implementation as required

•Utilize available subject matter expertise to perform functional reviews of transformational initiatives and on-going BAU change agendas.

•Serve as a Subject Matter Expert, establish trust within the corresponding business teams; gain enthusiasm within the teams.

•Develop as a functional Subject Matter Expert for Private Capital Administration operations and the Investran platform, documenting and developing a knowledge base, and cross-training team members.

•Elicit and document functional requirements, oversee the development of new functionality, perform user acceptance testing & support implementation and rollout.

•Provides consulting to stakeholder(s) to identify and understand the issues, drivers, environment or business they support.

•Carries out activities that are large in scope, cross-functional and technically difficult.

•As subject area expert, provides comprehensive, in-depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level.

•Operates independently and has in-depth knowledge of business unit, specific area of expertise and strong knowledge in other areas.

•Strategic in developing, implementing and administering programs within functional areas.

•Role is balanced between high level operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities.

•Responsible for direct interaction with different committees and/or management.

•Provide support for functional and technical queries, ensuring superior client service to the business users.

Knowledge/Skills

•Self-starter with advanced analytical and problem solving skills.

•Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

•Ability to work under pressure and to prioritize tasks.

•Strong desktop, IT and systems skills required, and an ability to liaise and translate between technical and non-technical departments.

•A good understanding of the Investran platform is a plus.

•Strong organizational and time management skills.

•Relevant product knowledge; experienced in consulting, analysis and change management.

•Proven experience as a Business Analyst, with strong functional domain experience.

•In-depth knowledge of applications used by our business partners, with functional competencies.

Experience Required

•A College or University degree and relevant proven work experience is required. IIBA Certification is advantageous.
