Your new responsibilities
Expected (Educational) Qualifications

Ability to coordinate with other engineers and internal company personnel to define product specifications, develop conceptual and final design solutions, manage and coordinate project activities, support existing product offerings and perform testing/analysis of new and existing products.

CORE TASKS:

1. Works with end user customer to convert customer information to an AutoCAD layout drawing.

2. Obtain field dimensions and process necessary change orders according to purchase orders and/or written contracts

3. Prepares quotes and bids from AutoCAD drawings, requires knowledge of pricing and discount structure.

4. Read customer specifications and generate BOMs for manufacturing.

5. Maintains correct margins on projects, includes working knowledge of government pricing, discounts and bid process.

6. Provide 2 dimensional equipment layouts in top and elevation views.

7. Accountable for demonstrating high level of competencies within all job functions in Mechanical Design Engineering.

8. Responsible for familiarization of internal capabilities and utilization of sound judgment to aid in development of designs of new feature and options to comply with customer requirements.

9. Accountable for timeliness and accuracy of designs utilizing expertise in Capital equipment, structural steel design and calculations.

10. Must be familiar with electrical controls from a functional perspective.

11. Responsible for timely production of design drawings utilizing computer software.

12. Responsible for frequent vendor contact to affect proper and timely delivery of parts, supplies, etc.

13. Participate and add value as a member of the engineering team.

14. Engages in effective communication within and across departments.

15. Participate in Company Safety Program through safety meetings, audits, following good safe work practices and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

16. Commitment to quality by meeting and exceeding our customer expectations and continuously improving our quality management system and their processes to create value for customers, employees and shareholders.

What we look for


  • Requires proficiencies in MS Office and associated software

  • Demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor desirable

  • Capital equipment, hydraulic experience, machine and sheet metal design experience

  • Knowledge of heavy industry field, reading blueprints and drawings or combination of education and experience preferred

  • Possess strong discipline to provide accurate and timely data.

  • Must be able to work independently, making sound decisions utilizing good managerial judgment

  • Impeccable attention to detail, effective problem solving skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.

  • Ability to work well with a team.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time-accurately, efficiently and effectively

Expected (Educational) Qualifications:

• Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant educational degree.

• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) desirable.

Expected Years of Experience:

• 1-3 years related experience
