The D&B Public Sector Technical Account Manager provides consulting, in partnership with Client Directors and Business Development Executives to offer industry, technical, product, and subject matter expertise to D&B’s Public Sector clients.  The Technical Account Manager leads the efforts to develop marketplace "Share of Mind" and enhance the perception of D&B as a market and industry leader in product and data integration solutions.

A typical day for the Technical Account Manager might include customer discovery sessions where we are invited to the table and exposed to the mission-critical data, working with our team data scientists to develop custom analytics, designing a solution using the best mix of D&B data, people, and technology to solve a customer’s critical mission challenges, or coordinating with post-sales development and implementation teams to ensure the timely delivery of customers solutions.

Responsibilities:


  • The Technical Account Manager applies technical expertise to position D&B solutions with leaders at Government clients.


  • Build best-in-class full-sales-cycle support by engaging closely with Business Development Executives, Client Directors and clients in industry analysis, trending, and product knowledge


  • The Technical Account Manager delivers technical expertise to expand penetration and influence in client environments, and to create new revenue streams.


  • Performs customer discovery discussions to understand and document business requirements necessary for the formulation of optimal solutions


  • Creatively designs solutions for customers using the best mix of D&B and vendor-partner products.  Alters the design as needed to result in the customer choosing the D&B solution


  • The Technical Account Manager documents, via diagrams and writing, and presents the solution to the customer, describes the benefits of the solution


  • Builds relationships with customers serving as the technical liaison from pre-sales to post-sales


  • Responsible for growing strategic product sales and revenue through proactive engagement with customers


  • Participates in strategic and tactical account planning


  • The Technical Account Manager Follows industry technology trends through self-study and formal training and shares that knowledge with customers


  • Leads internal cross-functional teams to obtain required approvals of non-standard designs for customers


  • Works with technical architects to design solutions that are compliant with D&B legal, privacy, technology, and security standards.


Key Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) required, Masters Preferred


  • At least 7-10+ years of relevant experience in Sales/Solution Engineering or Solution Architecture which involves end to end systems architecture, integration and consulting for business and IT planning


  • Proven pre-sales accomplishments in solution selling required


  • Ability to develop and manage senior-level relationships within the Government CIO and IT community is required


  • Knowledge of CRM, Marketing Automation, ERP’s, Master Data and Master Data Management is highly desired


  • Well-versed in data integration technology, especially with services-oriented architectures (SOA), Web Services standards, enterprise messaging, and third-party application integration.


  • Understanding of cloud architectures, especially AWS, strongly preferred.


  • In-depth knowledge and/or experience with D&B data and integration technologies a plus


  • Software development life-cycle experience in the implementation of successful systems integration projects preferred


  • The Technical Account Manager is a remote based position, BUT the candidate must live in the Washington DC Metro Area based on customer needs.


  • MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE AND HOLD A US GOVERNMENT CLEARANCE AT TIME OF HIRE.
