Job Description
As a Design Release Engineer - Global Hardware Lead, you will be responsible for leading product development and integration activities. Responsibilities include utilizing engineering tools and processes to successfully develop components and systems for vehicle programs.
Effectively achieve program milestones by thorough and rigorous program management. You will coach and lead suppliers to timely execution of program deliverables with perfection.
Responsible for releasing CSM HW globally
At this level you are expected to operate with a high level of independent discernment and are typically responsible for implementing functional strategy, administering and coordinating programs, counseling and advising management.
As a fully qualified individual contributor who has thorough knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the function, you will provide expert judgment and analysis for the design, development and implementation of technical products and systems.
Resolve highly complex technical issues and conducts advanced research. Recommend alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures.
Skilled and proficient with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Rely mostly on extensive personal experience and discernment to plan and accomplish goals. You will perform multiple tasks. Lead and likely direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Lead Product Development Team (PDT) meetings and provide technical direction to PDT members
Create and lead vehicle level test and development programs to evaluate and calibrate the performance of features
Wok on issue identification and resolution
Communicate the status of test, development, issue identification and resolution to leadership
Provide leadership, coaching, and technical direction to personnel in global regions outside North America

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
3 years of experience in infotainment systems or as a design release engineer
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science degree in Engineering
5 or more years of experience in infotainment systems or as a design release engineer
