Job Description

About the opportunity:

At NetCraftsmen, we seek individuals with a passion for technology and the desire to practice their skills across multiple technologies - someone who not only understands the "how", but also has a driving desire to understand the "why" behind the "how". In this role you will be working on developing automation processes to drive operational efficiencies. The initial role is with an international client and, as such, you will work remotely however, future roles will be with clients in the DC/MD/NoVAregion and you need to live commutable to this area OR be willing to self-relocate to the area when COVID appropriate.

In this role, you will be focused on a network automation initiative for a large multinational client throughout the enterprise. Typical efforts might involve standardizing configs, baselining hardware and software releases etc.

Important: The client is located in Sydney Australia, so your work responsibilities will be primarily Sunday-Thursday from4-12pm ET (with some flexibility).

Qualifications

What do you need to succeed?


  • CCNP level underpinning in Cisco Routing and Switching


  • Demonstrable networkautomationscripting experience in one or more of the following: C++, PHP, Perl, Python, PowerShell


  • Due to the nature of some of our US Federal Government clients, you must be able to access sites that require US Citizenship for entry


  • You MUST be able to work a unique schedule which may includeSunday-Thursday from4-12pm ET shift with no issues (to be determined)


It would be great if you also had:


  • Exposure toGluwareand/or other network automation enablement platforms


  • Any additional exposure to Firewalls, Virtualization, Cloud or Voice technologies
