Kforce has a client in search of a NG911 - IT Security Engineer in Brooklyn, NY.Key Tasks:
Review enterprise security solutions such as NGFW infrastructure DNS/DNSSEC, enterprise MFA and NGFW infrastructure, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technology
Research, recommend, plan the implementation of new or updated information security hardware or software, and analyze its impact on the existing environment
Provide technical expertise for the administration of security tools
Assess next-generation threat prevention designs and SSL encryption/decryption strategies
Schedule:
Normal business hours Monday-Friday 35 hour/week (not including mandatory unpaid meal break after 6 hours of work); If more than 35 hours/week, consultant must request OT in agency's timekeeping system and the PM must approve hours worked above the weekly max
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 12 years of experience in a technical and/or business application, product, platform, or methodology
Demonstrate a sound understanding in the implementation of cybersecurity trends, security methodologies, and OSI model; TCP/IP stack
Experience designing secure networks, systems and applications with a focus on security, performance and reliability
Experience planning, researching and developing security policies, standards and procedures
Desirable Skills:
Professional experience in a system administration role supporting multiple platforms and applications
Experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems
One or more relevant information security and/or networking certifications such as: CISSP, Security+, Network+, CCNA, PCNSE
