The Trading Analyst is a key member of the Multifamily Finance team with the responsibility of supporting the Trading Department. This role provides broad exposure to Multifamily Finance and a foundational understanding of trading activities within Walker & Dunlop.

What will you be doing:
Uses an understanding of the department's operations and business objectives to proactively assist management.
Regularly interfaces with other colleagues, departments, external customers, and outside agencies in a highly professional manner to assist with day-to-day operations.
Prepares reports detailing executed trades, profits, and losses.
Actively studies and monitors financial trends, market conditions, indicators, and pricing to maximize WD' s financial results from trades.
Maintains an active log of investor preferences.
Communicates and problem-solves daily with teammates, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Provides general administrative support for team.
Maintains superior organization of highly confidential business and personal paperwork.
Handles additional projects as assigned.
Communicate and problem-solve daily with teammates, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders, often in combination with travel

The education and experience we are looking for:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
Previous work experience in a corporate setting, working on tasks that require analytical, administrative, technical, and interpersonal skills
Previous experience in Agency Multifamily Finance preferred
Understanding of economics and accounting, with a working knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, banking, financial markets and working with financial information. Understanding of Fixed-Income Securities/Mortgage-Backed Securities a plus
Strong mathematical skills and how to apply them to financial markets

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, judgment, flexibility, and dependability.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
