The Memory Solutions Lab (MSL) mission is to develop innovative open system architectures and solutions that transform the performance of semiconductor memory in SSDs, mobile devices and data centers.

OVERVIEW & IMPACT:

Samsung is looking for QA engineers with experience with testing distributed clusters and the cloud. The Samsung Data Platform (SDP) is a distributed, scale-out data storage product that we are evolving to support cloud scale deployments. We are looking for experienced QA engineers with expertise in testing distributed applications that are deployed in the cloud or on-premise virtualization as well with abilities to develop automation in Python.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute and develop automated test scripts.
• Identify and debug issues found during testing the product.
• Based on product understanding identify and document test cases.
• Develop or modify existing Python code or shell scripts.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS:

• BS/MS Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 10+ years testing storage solutions.
• Experience testing storage systems, preferable distributed systems
• Experience working with public cloud providers (AWS, Google, Azure)

• Experience with IO workload generation tools such as VDBench, FIO, etc.
• Experience with Python and writing QA automation scripts for storage solutions
• Experience with Linux operating system.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
