Job Summary:

Cognizant is looking for a driven leader with vision with experience in tailoring a customized product and solution for our clients. This individual will act as a trusted advisor and be responsible for providing an approach for the overall project. The role is encouraged to drive technology discussions and analyze the current landscape for gaps in addressing business needs. The individual in this role will review existing architecture and capabilities from technical perspective. Lastly, Cognizant needs a motivated individual to challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership/standard methodologies to improve our current services and technologies.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Design and develop future-ready digital solutions for customers across industry verticals


• Create digital technology solution and program roadmap by collaborating with strategy and design consultants


• Assess and Design IT architecture strategies for cloud and PaaS platforms


• Supervise all production issues and inquiries and provide efficient resolution.


• Evaluate all functional requirements and map documents and perform solve on all development processes.


• Collaborate with application groups to prepare effective solutions for all programs.


• Documents all technical specifications and associate project work you're doing.


• Design all test cases to provide support to all systems and perform unit tests.


• Collaborate with Cognizant internal partners, product vendors, other third-party service providers and the customer in the strategic design process to translate business needs into platform/custom solutions


• Demonstrate technical expertise in modern Cognizant Digital Engineering and associated technologies, cloud platforms, data quality, governance and architecture


• Develop and demonstrate proof of concepts


• Lead technology consulting engagements, solution workshops and due diligence


• Resolve availability and viability of third-party components and services as needed


• Develop and design specifications for integration, products and technologies


• Design quality control and test procedures to ensure the work meet established design and performance goals


• Drive RFP creation, deliver on client requests and find opportunities in line with account strategies


• Technology competency areas – Cloud Native, Microservices and APIs, Reactive Systems, Analytics & Streaming Pipelines, Devops – CI/CD

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide solutions to implement continuous integration & continuous deployment solutions for large sized project.


• Guide the team to tackle, build & deploy automation solutions.


• Design/Implement release orchestration solutions for these large sized projects.


• Perform pre-assessments to help the customer begin the DevOps journey.


• Help in application onboarding to the defined target operating model to achieve build & release automation.


• Participate/Lead E2E DevOps small customer assessment.


• Participate in large assessment for data assimilation.


• Participate/Lead DevOps transformation for an enterprise customer.


• Provide solutions for RFP's.

Position Qualifications:

• At least 4 years of technical experience with in-depth knowledge of CI/CD/DevOps concepts, tools and technologies (such as Jenkins, Maven, SonarQube, Chef, Git/Stash, Artifactory, Packer, Docker, AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Heroku).


• Independently work on opportunities involving multiple SBUs/Verticals


• Ability to build and implement continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) environments using tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, and SonarQube


• Experience building highly performant, scalable, software in a CI/CD environment.


• Experience in working with Docker container / Kubernetes preferred.


• Experience building installation, configuration, administration, reporting of Atlassian tools Jira, Confluence, BitBucket/Stash/GitHub, Crowd


• Experience integrating testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium Grid, SoapUI, Qtest, Cucumber, Saucelabs and others to the DevOps pipeline


• Experience integrating security tools such as WhiteHat, NexusIQ, AppScan and Twistlock


• Ability to document and train our IT & Engineering organizations on CI/CD standard methodologies


• Extensive experience in implementing pipeline as code using scripting languages such as Shell Scripting, Groovy DSL


• Working experience of Agile/SCRUM/Kanban techniques


• Experience with some of the following preferred: Vagrant, MySQL, NoSQL, SonarQube, Splunk or Graylog, Nagios or New Relic, Docker, Chef, Ansible


• Ability to solve network services and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, AD, LDAP, SSH, SMTP, SSL, HTTP, IIS and Apache


• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field

Preferred Experience & Domain Knowledge:

Banking & Financial Services industry (Retail/Commercial Banks, Capital Markets, Cards & Payment, Mortgage) will be plus.
