Our Operations function oversees the day-to-day functions of our managed hotel portfolio, ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional hospitality experience and that we remain a leader in the hospitality industry.

What will I be doing?

As the Regional Director Engineering, West, you will provide engineering operational support, expertise, and leadership to all of the Hilton managed hotels in the West Region of the U.S. and support the Area Vice Presidents of Operations (AVP) with their initiatives and goals for the properties and the region. You will ensure that all Hilton Brand Standards, Best Practices, Sustainability Goals, and State and Local government compliance requirements are met regarding facility condition, systems, and operations. You will be responsible for completing an annual property inspection at each of the properties in the West U.S. remit, inclusive of a detailed report, prioritizing all engineering operations, Brand Standards, and compliance deficiencies. Furthermore, we will depend on you to review 30, 60, and 90-day progress updates with each property team and the respective AVP regarding any deficiencies.

More specifically, you will:


  • Provide guidance and support for all major facility issues, emergencies, and repairs that may occur.
  • Prioritize multiple projects at a time with little supervision, supporting special projects, transitions, and new property openings.
  • Collaborate in the development of training materials and support the ongoing training, development, and recruitment for the Property Operations department in the U.S. West region.
  • Assist in the management and oversight of the national vendors and suppliers at the property level.
  • Develop and manage department operational and capital project budgets.
  • Build and maintain constructive and collaborative working relationships and support all Area Vice Presidents of Operations (AVPs) in the U.S. West region, including assistance with owner relations and handling of operational finances.
  • Lead and execute special projects as assigned.

  • Provide a deep understanding and ability to follow the adherence of Hilton Brand Standards, Best Practices, Sustainability Goals, and State and Local government compliance requirements

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience
  • Five (5) at a hotel of 1,000 rooms or more
  • Five (5) years of Director of Property Operation (DOPO) experience, including property-based regional support to other hotels
  • Travel as the need arises (50%)

It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Ten (10) or more years of experience as Director of Property Operation (DOPO) experience including property-based regional support to other hotels
