Specialist, CMS Strategist

An exciting opportunity to join our Marketing Strategy Team supporting Prudential’s digital transformation.  The Web Content team is seeking a CMS Strategist to drive our digital marketing automation initiatives. This role will help gather business requirements and will support the rollout of a new enterprise CMS.  Additionally, the CMS Strategist will actively lead the migration of prudential microsites.

In a team responsible for driving holistic marketing automation and an integrated MarTech ecosystem, the person in this role will serve as a digital content expert to the business.  The CMS Strategist will serve as the marketing lead for several key technologies including CMS, testing platforms, and various integrated technologies to deliver an optimal customer experience across our digital properties. 

Job Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:


  • Partner with marketing to drive optimal business outcomes and optimize customer experiences

  • Lead the digital marketing stack; ensuring optimal performance, strategic integrations and user adoption

  • Create overall business requirements for the new enterprise CMS platform and coordinate with architecture teams on the roll-out

  • Train new and existing employees (with varying levels of experience) across the marketing teams on content management creation best practices and workflow requirements

  • Work with external vendors to maintain and develop our technology integrations and facilitate beta-testing of new products and features

Process Improvement:


  • Drive the digital content road-map and keep abreast of future trends

  • Translate marketing needs to functional requirements and ensure optimal outcomes

  • Identify areas for digital automation and drive efficiency

  • Partner with many different groups including technology, architecture, operations, marketing strategy and customer experience

Administration and Support:


  • Help troubleshoot issues as they arise within the platforms, specifically Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)

  • Provide marketing support in a high-performance company culture that emphasizes superior quality, continuous improvement, and productivity standards

Qualifications:


  • 3-5 years of experience with marketing web tools, specifically CMS and Testing capabilities

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (5+ years) in digitally enabled businesses. MBA or business degree a plus

  • Strong project leadership and demonstrated ability to partner closely with marketing, analytics and product teams to drive outcomes for highly visible projects

  • Comfortable working with senior leaders across the organization, making recommendations and creating executive updates

  • Comfortable working with ambiguous and evolving requirements and deadlines with a constant need to prioritize based on outcomes

  • “Roll up your sleeves” mentality; must be able to foster collaboration to drive strategies, plans, results and outcomes enterprise-wide

  • Must be a self-starter, highly organized, and able to effectively work independently, as well as part of a cross functional team and across all levels of the organization

  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

  • Experience in financial services, fintech, insurtech and insurance preferred

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript a plus

*Note: Prudential is required by Colorado law to include the salary range for this role when hiring a Colorado resident.

Salary range specific to Colorado: $82,300-$111,300+ discretionary incentive bonus + benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
