Position Purpose:

This role will serve as the Global Digital Supply Chain Planning for K-C Digital Technology Solutions (DTS).  This position has direct accountability for the timeliness and quality of services of a global application portfolio supporting Planning across the globe in Consumer and KC Professional. This position provides leadership and strategic direction to multiple globally diverse teams in the delivery of application solutions. Supervise application managers and specialists from around the globe, providing overall direction and guidance. In addition to internal resources, manages supervisors and resources from outsourced vendor(s) for application delivery and support across global technology areas to ensure vendor meets Service Level Agreements and end user expectations. Works collaboratively with the Global SC Planning and Logistics, Business Unit SC Planning and Logistics across the K-C businesses and across the DTS organization to define, prototype, and implement new technologies to enable business objectives. Is responsible for establishing day-to-day operational support for DTS applications that includes supplier management activities, business continuity, and overall service delivery support operations including change, incident, problem and configuration management. This role’s customers are leaders and staff in Global Consumer, KCP Supply Chain and Business teams in all regions; DTS leadership globally, all internal DTS teams, DT application delivery partners, and consultants. Customer Expectations: Delivery of Digital Technology solutions for global applications. Enable proactive Digital solutions to drive business growth and profitability. Deliver innovative, efficient and cost-effective solutions to meet enterprise needs and to drive business growth and profitability. Insight and understanding on “best practices” and keeping pace with competition and peer companies. Thought leadership in emerging application technologies (i.e., SaaS, Mobility). Work with businesses to establish business process sustainability and business benefits.  Ensure insight and understanding of “best practices” and keeping pace with competition and peer companies. Extensive collaboration with other DTS Delivery Teams to ensure high performance of the global application portfolio. Recommend and drive the prioritization of Digital Technology decisions for the global businesses to ensure world class delivery and value for ITS investment.

The main mission of this role is to drive Planning objectives through designing the technology strategy, developing and delivering application services, and driving transformational digital programs. This position serves as the primary point of contact and will act as an advisor and advocate for business leaders.

This role is expected to partner closely with Global SC Planning and Logistics, Business Unit SC Planning and Logistics and across the Digital Core +SAP S4 Program team to build an effective blueprint and template for all demand and supply chain planning.  This role will provide thought leadership and vision to create the future state of the demand and supply chain planning process environment to enable rapid and responsive planning across the enterprise business environments and supporting SBP, ABP, S&OP, S&OE, scenario and  daily operational  planning , end to end control tower and other critical interfaces. This role will ensure that the demand and supply chain planning processes are tightly integrated with the supplier, manufacturing and logistics environments, to enable a responsive and agile process model design,  leveraging the full capabilities of  the selected planning system,  SAP S4 Hana ,surround systems and other advanced capabilities (such as ML/AI/RPA).  The role will lead a team of business user experts, highly skilled and knowledgeable in all aspects of planning processes, to create the business process design and functional design documents for the build of the complete planning process environment.

Role Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Global Application Delivery – Define, analyze, and deliver business initiatives in accordance with business and IT priorities and annual budgets.

  • Business-DTS Strategy - Promote and support the long-range Digital systems plan consistent with business objectives. Support and facilitate the alignment of corporate DTS strategy to business strategies.

  • BPO Relationship Management - Represent the face of DTS to the customer. Identify technology opportunities which provide strategic/tactical advantages in planning, managing and conducting the business. Engage with key customers and other external business partners to deliver IT solutions in a high quality, globally conscience manner.

  • Build Talent – Promote and build global leaders, develop staff with the needed functional and technical skills required to meet K-C’s growing application portfolio and changing technology needs.

  • Lead the process design and blueprint of all demand and supply chain planning processes,  creating a rapid and responsive planning environment across the enterprise business environments and supporting SBP, ABP, S&OP, S&OE, scenario and  daily operational  planning, end to end control tower and other critical interfaces.

  • Collaborate with the business to develop the suite of segmentation strategies to incorporate into the planning design to support the business go to market strategies serving channels/customers.

  • Lead the blueprint for demand sensing and demand planning processes leveraging the segmentation strategy, creating an intelligent demand stream that auto-adjusts, through AI/ML leveraging several external and internal data points, for rapid and responsive planning.

  • Develop the data integration strategy with customer, supplier , manufacturing and logistics to create an effective digital twin of the network needed to feed the new business processes of the enterprise business platform (SAP), the global/regional planning environments across multiple planning horizons, track and trace and the end to end control tower, leveraging advanced capabilities such as ML/AI/RPA. 

  • Ensure this design leverages the right data points from inbound supply to the production operating environment, order management and distribution to effectively represent product flow and support effective scenario analysis in daily operational planning.

  • Ensure that inventory policy is embedded into the design leveraging multi echelon inventory planning to correctly position the inventories across the network from inbound materials supply to finished goods distribution.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing, logistics and finance on the set up of the enterprise system’s work centers to create the right analytical capabilities/financial framework to manage and plan the financial cost allocation across production units and work centers to deliver total delivered cost for optimization and scenario planning.

  • Ensure design leverages to the fullest automation of processes and ML/AI/RPA to support advanced analytics and decision making.   

  • Lead the Digital Core +SAP S4 Program planning team of business user experts knowledgeable in all demand and supply chain planning processes to create the business process design and functional design documents to deliver to the technical team for the build of the complete planning process environment.

  • Provide direction and oversight to Digital Core +SAP S4 Program team resources including third party partners for the multi-phases of program from feasibility to deployment and execution.

  • Responsible for delivery of the complete planning environment blueprint and process design template for Digital Core +SAP S4 Program initiatives on time and within budget.

  • Work with the Global process owners on program in Procurement, Logistics, Planning, Quality, PLM, EHS&S, and Data & Analytics, to the ensure a seamless integration of data requirements to support the end to end supply chain processes and all financial planning.

  • Lead all activities of the Planning workstream on Digital Core +SAP S4 Program, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of the planning requirements definition documents, test scripts for build validation and metrics definition for evaluating effectiveness of design build. 

  • Lead development of planning training documentation and training environment.  Ensure timely delivery of training and validation of training completeness.

  • Partner across all functional areas of the Project team to develop the best technological solutions and visibility for an effective planning process environment to enable the most effective customer service, at optimal inventories and cost.

Qualifications/Education/Experience Required:


  • Bachelor's Degree (required). Preferred fields include Supply Chain Operations, Computer Science, , Industrial Engineering or Business Management or related discipline and 10- 15 years of planning/ business process/ industrial experience

  • Team Leader experience 7+ years and Project management / agile method experience is desirable.


  • Ability to provide strategic technical leadership and lead by influence in the creation of supply chain planning environment and broader enterprise system environment  

  • Ability to communicate and influence multi-disciplinary teams developing strong partnerships across functions to drive the design, build, and deployment of state of the art rapid and responsive planning systems environment.

  • Leadership experience in all aspects of planning, deployment and knowledgeable of the uses of automation/ ML/ AI to achieve touchless planning solution with integration to enterprise environments such as SAP S4 and other critical digital core surround systems.

  • Functional knowledge of manufacturing and distribution operations – including but not limited to the following functions: planning/forecasting, supply management, procurement, sales and operations planning, new product introduction, transition management, production scheduling, quality control, inventory management, supply chain, warehouse and distribution.

  • Track record of project delivery success that should include: System Implementation / Integration, cost savings, process improvement

  • Expert knowledge of Demand, Inventory, Scenario and Supply Network Planning tools and ERP with broad expertise in various disciplines (system development, infrastructure) and new technologies  

  • Keen technical skills and demonstrable ability to assess needs, identify issues, recommend alternatives and implement and lead change

  • Demonstrated capability in making timely, difficult decisions to ensure critical business needs and timelines are met

  • Experience in supplier management, Project Management, Waterfall and Agile methodologies
