Golder is seeking a Toxicologist to join our Portland, Oregon office.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
Designing and overseeing field programs to support environmental effects monitoring, baseline environmental characterization, and toxicology assessments
Developing environmental assessments and environmental monitoring programs
Preparing reports and proposals
Implementing quality assurance/quality control measures applicable to the task
Developing your technical skills and sharing these skills with other members of your team and your technical discipline
Contributing to the business and technical mission of a multi-disciplinary team environment within Mine Environment and related technical discipline groups
Required:
Bachelors degree in Environmental Toxicologist, Biological Sciences or related field.
At least 3 years of experience
Background in terrestrial and/or aquatic toxicology, ecological risk assessment, or related discipline
Sound working understanding of environmental toxicology and chemistry to support biological/ecological studies relating to contaminants
Familiarity with environmental sampling methods
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desired:
Master's Degree or higher in environmental toxicology, biological sciences or related field
Willingness to travel
Excellent attention to detail
Strong quantitative skills
