Golder is seeking a Toxicologist to join our Portland, Oregon office.

Responsibilities of the role will include:


  • Designing and overseeing field programs to support environmental effects monitoring, baseline environmental characterization, and toxicology assessments
  • Developing environmental assessments and environmental monitoring programs
  • Preparing reports and proposals
  • Implementing quality assurance/quality control measures applicable to the task
  • Developing your technical skills and sharing these skills with other members of your team and your technical discipline
  • Contributing to the business and technical mission of a multi-disciplinary team environment within Mine Environment and related technical discipline groups

Required:

  • Bachelors degree in Environmental Toxicologist, Biological Sciences or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience
  • Background in terrestrial and/or aquatic toxicology, ecological risk assessment, or related discipline
  • Sound working understanding of environmental toxicology and chemistry to support biological/ecological studies relating to contaminants
  • Familiarity with environmental sampling methods
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desired:

  • Master's Degree or higher in environmental toxicology, biological sciences or related field
  • Willingness to travel
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong quantitative skills
