Our expanding IT team is looking for an Application Analyst for our Olathe, KS headquarters. In this role, you will be responsible for global projects related to IT Asset Management (ITAM) for software and hardware assets. This role will develop and refine processes and procedures for improving asset management processes.
Ideal candidates for this role will possess the following experience and abilities:
Recognizes unique asset management needs within Garmin’s business and works closely with procurement to improve and enhance asset management processes
Support and maintain Garmin’s enterprise discovery and asset inventory
Manages global projects of average complexity relating to software and hardware asset disposition
Collects asset license inventory and align asset management processes from all offices
Manage contracts, entitlements, and licensing information in the asset management system to compare against discovered utilization
Works closely with global suppliers to identify and inventory license models that for all locations
Develops and maintains project plans with milestones, timelines, and deliverables
Gathers and reports hardware and software asset metrics (KPI’s) and delivers asset disposition reporting in automated fashion to other resources within Garmin
Understands and calculates Effective License Positions for software used at Garmin
Enhances workflow through development of requirements to interfaces to improve asset management processes
Help develop strategies for optimizing technology spend through asset harvesting for commonly used devices and licenses
Contributes to technical research on new technologies, processes or procedures
Provides technical input to solution development plans and concept documents
Demonstrates understanding of business impacts of issues and how they relate to IT owned solutions
Communicates effectively in written and verbal form in a cross-functional setting with business partners
Exemplifies Garmin’s Mission Statement and Quality Policy and proactively works to improve Garmin’s image & culture
Additional responsibilities will include:
Assist with the support, maintenance, and administration of the asset management system
Build automation and integrations between the asset management system and other systems used at Garmin using XML, web services, and scripting technology
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business or another relevant field AND a minimum of 5 years relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Demonstrates mastery of asset management principals and methodologies
Must possess a minimum of 5 years asset management project related experience
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a small team setting
Consistently demonstrates quality and effectiveness in work documentation and organization
