Nemours is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our outpatient program in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.

We recently completed a multi-phase hospital expansion that includes new inpatient rooms, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department. Additionally, Nemours duPont Pediatrics allows us to reach more children across the region through community-based physician services and collaborative partnerships with health and hospital systems.

Primary Job Function
Provides physical therapy evaluations, interventions and patient/family education. Will establish and maintain appropriate documentation and communication with medical and clinical staff and outside agencies within the guidelines designated by state licensure, the department and Delaware Valley policies and procedures. Actively participates in departmental education activities in order to expand knowledge of patient populations and evidence-based practice. 

This is a salaried position with full-time benefits for 40-hours worked per week. Hours: Tuesday/Thursday, 10:30-7, Monday/Wednesday 9:30-6:00, Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Dual state licensure required for patient care at Nemours/Alfred I Dupont Hospital for Children, Bryn Mawr or Glen Mills based on staffing/census.

Requirements
 


  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is entry-level; must be eligible for DE Licensure

  • PA State PT license to practice Physical Therapy

  • Delaware State PT license to practice Physical Therapy must be maintained for duration of employment, regardless of program or location

  • AHA BLS/CPR certification (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) within 6 months of employment and must be maintained for duration of employment.

  • Member of professional specialty organizations (APTA, state PT association) preferred.

  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience preferred.

  • Pediatric experience is preferred.

  • Experience in orthopedics and sports is preferred.

  • CSCS, ATC, OCS, SCS certification or equivalent preferred
