Location: Short Hills, NJ Description: Our client is currently seeking a full-time, direct hire role as a Principal Software Engineer

This job will have the following responsibilities:
Design and lead development of business-critical software in the firm.
As a Principal Software Engineer, you will develop scalable, distributed software systems, and work on other projects that require research, awareness, interactivity, and the ability to ask the right questions.
You will collaborate with business and technical teams to translate business requirements and functional specifications into innovative solutions implementing performant, scalable program designs, code modules and stable systems.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of advanced system design and delivery. This person will face off with senior level internal stakeholders to manage expectations and prioritize delivery.
You will also be responsible for serving as a technical expert for project teams throughout the implementation and maintenance of business and enterprise software solutions, and in addition, you will provide consultation to help ensure new and existing software solutions are developed with insight into industry best practices, strategies, and architectures and pursues professional growth.

Strong CS foundation
Strong problem solving ability
Bachelor's degree required with a preference for Master's
