Job Description:

Location: Short Hills, NJ
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Program Manager to work as a full-time employee in Short Hills, NJ.

The role:

Candidate will have immediate impact on the business, focusing on four primary Technology management functions: Portfolio Governance; Financial Management; Resource Management; Communications. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a business management role in an agile, fast-paced environment.

This is a high-visibility, high impact role that will have a direct impact on Technology's transformation journey.

Essential Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Governance
a. Provide active portfolio oversight across key initiatives, develop appropriate controls and processes, including dependency tracking to minimize delivery and financial risks
b. Develop comprehensive metrics/KPIs to track and monitor Technology delivery and operations activities
c. Support ongoing executive management reporting activities

2. Financial Management
a. Support day-to-day management of budget / forecast to meet financial targets
b. Develop processes and controls to track external contractor/vendor expenses
c. Drive investment governance and prioritization processes with stakeholder groups, including budget planning activities

3. Resource Management
a. Develop and maintain hiring plans in line with project portfolio timelines
b. Oversee timely resource recruiting / onboarding activities

4. Communications
a. Define and implement a communication strategy to raise awareness of key deliveries, and improve Technology's brand internally and externally
b. Drive communication calendar (e.g., open mics, townhalls, extended leader calls, vlogs)

Education and Qualifications:
  • 7-10 years' experience managing large scale implementations or business transformation initiatives.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, finance, information technology or related field.
  • Critical competencies: executive presence paired with solid organizational skills, problem solving/analysis, attention to detail, communication skills (oral/written), initiative leadership/influencing, driving results and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to work independently and with diverse teams to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience working in an environment where Audit level attention to detail was critical to success.
  • Lean, Agile, Kanban, Six Sigma, or similar project management training or certification preferred.
  • Experience managing project/portfolio budgets, including understanding of project accounting (e.g., capitalization), financial planning and analysis
