An award-winning 600-bed hospital in the DMV near Washington DC seeks a Nurse Director Medical Surgical Telemetry Division.

The Nurse Director of Telemetry Services will operate a bustling set of units, which sees patients within a wide range of acuity scales.  The Nurse Director will oversee the care of patients post extreme traumatic experiences, recovering from strokes, and cardiovascular surgery.

The Nurse Director Direct Observation Unit will join an award-winning not-for-profit medical center at the forefront of healthcare innovation. Reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Telemetry Nurse Director will direct and oversee a team of experienced and intrinsically motivated managers, supervisors, charge nurses, and over 100 full-time registered nurses in a 50-bed Telemetry Unit.

The Telemetry Nurse Director will assume financial responsibility for the unit budgets, serves as a liaison with medical staff and other personnel, promotes the maximum growth and development of each employee, supports nursing research, and assures patient advocacy. The DOU Nurse Director will work with Managers of Critical Care, Trauma, and Emergency maintaining a premium level of patient care as patients move throughout the hospital.
