Per Diem Nurse Practitioner (KCC) at Kendal-Crosslands Communities in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania

Kendal~Crosslands Communities, a continuing care retirement community located in Kennett Square, PA has a Per Diem  opportunity for Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) that will work at both the Kendal at Longwood and Crosslands locations.  The hours for this position is below:

-Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm, occasional Saturday mornings on a per diem basis.

Essential Function: Promotes and restores Residents’ health by managing their clinical, medical and psychosocial needs within the practice guidelines of advanced nursing practice.

Qualifications & Experience: Master’s Degree in Nursing. Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. At least five years acute and/or long term care experience as a Registered Nurse and 1 year recent experience as an Acute Care, Adult-Gero or Family Practice Nurse Practitioner.

Ability to obtain a current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration. Current Prescriptive Authority approval by the Commonwealth of PA.

Ability to relate and communicate well with older people. Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers. Demonstrate knowledge and skills in health histories, physical and psycho social assessments, emergency treatment, initiating treatment, ordering appropriate laboratory tests, x-rays. Demonstrates strong leadership skills.
