Job Description:

Kendal~Crosslands Communities, a Life Plan Community located in Kennett Square, PA has a FT opportunity for a Lead Cook position for The Pond's Edge Cafè in our Crosslands location.  The hours for this position is below:

-10:45am - 7:15pm with the occasional 7am - 3:30pm shift on holidays, 40 hours per week.

This position also requires working every other weekend and holiday.

Essential Functions: Prepare meals and achieves The Pond's Edge Cafè objectives by preparing and cooking all food utilizing the Cafè equipment.  Responsible for sanitation and closing of the Cafè area. 

Qualifications & Experience: Must be able to follow and give written and oral instructions, and otherwise communicate and receive communications orally and in writing.  Must be engaging and able to provide superior customer service.  Must be able to effectively manage ordering system and maintain production standards.  Must be able to provide leadership, support and supervision to the team in the absence of the supervisor.  Must be able to extend and utilize recipes.  Must be able to operate all equipment safely.  Must be clean and maintain a neat appearance.  Two years of commercial line cooking experience preferred.
