VSE Corporation is currently seeking a Lead Supply Technician - CIF in support of the LRC at Fort Benning, GA.

• Perform requisitioning and receiving procedures of repair parts, supplies and equipment utilizing Army automated computer programs (PBUS-E, SAMS- E, ULLS-G, SARS, SAA and other legacy programs).




• Perform clerical and physical work




• Tasks include connection with requisitioning, receiving, accounting for, storage, and securing of US Government and VSE major items of equipment, tooling, repair parts and other material associated with shop operations. This includes executing package/container inspections, in-house deliveries and providing clerical support to the purchasing administrators.




• Maintain accountability and inventory controls on all received shipments




• Inspect incoming government and vendor procured material when required to determine acceptance/rejection based on adequacy of design and compliance with specifications.




• Use general shop and mechanics tools in connection with material packaging and preservation requirements




• Computer skills in stock record account, procurement and/or inventory control and Microsoft suite required.




• Duties may include procuring supplies, etc from external sources.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Dirt, dust, grease and oils are always present. There can be exposure to chemicals that may burn and irritate the skin and eyes if proper personal protective equipment is not worn. Failure to follow appropriate safety procedures could result in cuts, bruises, shocks and strains. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, installation fire prevention regulations and published company work rules. May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

JOB REQUIREMENTS *

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

Work requires standing, climbing, bending, and occasionally working in cramped and awkward positions. Employee stands for long periods. Frequently lifts equipment weighing 25 pounds. Occasionally assists lifting and carrying equipment weighing up to 75 pounds. If employee fails to follow appropriate safety procedures, there could be exposure to cuts, bruises, shocks, and strains. May be required to wear a respirator and to pass the required physical.

REQUIREMENTS:

. * High school degree or GED

* May substitute 1 yr. relevant experience for 1 yr. education.

. * Technical Training required in supply record keeping

* 6 years, prefer 8 years' experience
* MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)

* Must be able to obtain and maintain a CAC, if required

* Must have and maintain a valid State Driver's License
