Job Objective
Manage the H-V Accounting Department, Hourly Payroll, A/R & A/P, Monthly Closings, Budgeting & Forecasting. Provide management with accurate information in order to make good business decisions. Maintain internal controls for the facility. Provide accounting assistance to the Wissota team.
Regular Tasks
Closings:
*Prepare monthly journal entries
*Complete monthly closings and statements
*Provide corporate accounting with monthly commentary and bridge
*Provide corporate accounting with quarterly commentary and bridges
Budget / Forecasts:
*Prepare annual budget
*Prepare quarterly forecasts
*Prepare monthly income projections
*Provide corporate accounting with analysis of changes in forecasts
A/P & A/R:
*Manage the processing of accounts payable
*Approve accounts payable for processing
*Complete vendor requests for establishing credit
*Manage A/R collections
*Monthly bank reconciliation
*Complete credit check for new customers
Payroll:
*Provide assistance with processing the weekly hourly payroll
*Prepare employee 401k profit sharing and incentive bonuses on an annual basis
Fixed Assets:
*Prepare payback analysis for capital projects
*Enter PAR's into the electronic approval system
*Track project spending
*Maintain the fixed asset registers
*Manage annual fixed asset inventory
Physical Inventory:
*Manage annual physical inventory
Other:
*Provide management with reports such as OTIF Tracking, Backlog, Job Cost, Inventory Tracking etc.
Skills / Knowledge required
1.Bachelor's degree in accounting
2.5+ years related experience, manufacturing accounting experience preferred
3.Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, Power Point, AS400 and ERP experience preferred.
4.Good analytical skills and mathematical skills
5.Strong organizational skills and is reliable to meet deadlines
6.Good communication skills, both written and verbal
7.Able to multi-task
