Roles & Responsibilities This role will be responsible for leading all efforts for Reliability Engineering with regards to the repair, refurbishment, re-use, and preservation of equipment in order to support maximizing equipment reliability at the highest NPV for the asset. This role will work across numerous organizational boundaries such as Operations, MRI, Infrastructure, and GSC to develop the tactics and work processes required to optimize these four process streams for all equipment types. The primary areas of focus will include leading the following processes:
Repair / Refurbishment
Determine what components can be economically rebuilt and reused; maintain the prioritization of implementation for the remaining equipment types
Work with Global Supply Chain (GSC) to expedite the implementation of the remaining equipment types
Equipment Re-Use
Determine what equipment can be economically re-used once the location it is installed is uneconomic to continue operating (temporarily or permanently)
Work with relevant Reliability Engineers to ensure equipment selection and maintenance strategies for this service promotes equipment re-use where economically justified
Work with Infrastructure and Reliability Operations to gain alignment on opportunities for repurposing equipment and build out associated workflows with key stakeholders
Equipment Preservation
Develop and implement preservation strategies with MRI Surface Execution for short term and long-term downtime of field-based equipment (rotating, static, and electrical)
Develop and implement preservation strategies with MRI Surface Execution and GSC for critical spare equipment and parts that are stored on-site, or in a warehouse for extended periods of time
Develop and implement with Global Supply Chain (GSC) a shelf life strategy for any parts in the warehouse with a "use by" date

Experience/Skills
Knowledge of mechanical equipment both fixed and rotating
Demonstrated history of utilizing Reliability Centered Maintenance tools to optimize asset performance / lifecycle desired
Experience in root cause failure analysis and FMEA desired
Basic knowledge of electrical systems
Field operations experience (e.g., process engineer, facilities engineer)
Proficient computer skills / business system knowledge (Microsoft, SAP)
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Strong analytical and technical skills with attention to detail and process improvements
Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision in a diverse, multidiscipline team environment
Strong prioritization skills
Education/Training
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or equivalent
