The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) renders diagnostic and therapeutic services within the scope of practice of a licensed speech and language pathologist, including treatment for communicative, cognitive and swallowing disorder. Inpatient and outpatient position. Adult experience preferred.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

License/Certifications: Must be licensed by the State of Maine Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology as a Speech Pathologist. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
Experience: Prior experience working in a hospital, nursing home or outpatient Physical Therapy Department is preferred.
Knowledge of chart/medical record documentation and terminology requirements and federal/state laws related to release of health care information
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with patients, physicians, supervisors and other staff
Ability to maintain professional manner even under stressful situations
