Medication Tech/Aide

Shift Type: Per Diem (On-Call)

Shift: Day, Evening, or NOC Shifts

Location: Avamere at South Hill - 3780 E. 57th Ave. Spokane, WA 99223

Wage rage: Depending on years of experience, up to $19.00/hr

Details

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications as ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of the director of health services and according to current policies, procedures, and practices


• Care for residents and assist in updating each resident's service plan


• Respond to resident calls and emergencies promptly and provide first aid assistance


• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and eating


• Document and communicate any changes pertaining to residents and complete all reports in a timely matter


• Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and foster a calm and cheerful environment


• Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

Qualifications:

• Certified Home Care Aide (HCA) or Certified Nursing Assistant


• Core Delegation Certificate


• Diabetes Specialty Delegation Certificate


• Dementia Training Certificate (or willing to obtain)


• Mental Health Training Certificate (or willing to obtain)


• CPR/1st Aide (or willing to obtain)


• Food Handler's Card (or willing to obtain)


• Prior Experience providing medication assistance
