Resources for Human Development is OPEN and hiring for both Full-Time and Part-Time Recovery Support Specialists (RSS). Both second and third shifts are available. The RSS will work along side the Recovery Support Specialist Supervisor and nursing professional to provide residential support and services for individuals seeking indepedence.

ThePledge for Independence, Empowerment, and Recovery (PIER) Programis aneight-bed co-ed Long Term Structured Residential (LTSR)servingindividuals with mental and behavioral health disabilities.

Responsibilities/Duties




  • Assist with medication administration and education for individuals

  • Work along side the nursing department to ensure quality improvement related to the health and safety of individuals

  • Provide meaningful educational experiences to help individuals increase independence.

  • Create meaningful therapeutic relationships through individual and group engagement.

  • Collaborate with a team of professionals in the creation and maintenance of a compassionate and creative environment.

  • Support and participate in the creation and implementation of goal planning.



Required Experience




  • Twoyears of experience working with individuals with Mental Health challenges.

  • Four years experience ( in absence of Associates Degree)



Required Education




  • Associate Degree Preferred


  • High School Diplomawith 4 years experience




Required Qualifications




  • Ability To Work Second or Third Shift. (3PM -11PM) OR (11PM - 7AM)


  • Valid Driver's License


  • Ability to Pass Required State Police, FBI and Child Abuse clearances.


  • Ability to utilize and navigate Corporate Email, Internet Applications, Microsoft Programs and maintain basic computer skills needed for Electronic Health Records
