RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs seam welding to SPVG Standards.

• Performs hand grinding and polishing to a specified finish.


• Constantly checks the quality of own work, checking proper procedures with Plant Superintendent and/or Q.C. if any uncertainty.


• Fills out proper documentation for all projects.


• Performs hydro-testing of pots.


• Prepares orders for shipment to electropolisher and/or the customer.


• Proper use of overhead cranes, fork truck, drill press, angle roll, plasma cutter, shears, hand tools and other equipment.


• Available for duties in other fabrication departments when necessary.

REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to operate seam welder to NSI standards.


• Above average mechanical aptitude and math skills, with emphasis on fractions and decimals.


• Ability to read & use tape measure, caliper, & other measurement equipment, & ability to use a calculator.

• Ability to follow instructions and direction.

• Ability to meet predefined deadlines while withstanding related pressure and stress.


• Minimum of one year of seam welding experience possessing above average skills.


• Experience reading and comprehending specifications.
