Interface Security Systems is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager National Account/Operations (Special Projects) to join our team. The Project Manager provides high-level project management and escalation support for key national accounts using managed network (IP) and/ or telecom services. This role serves as the client-facing, day-to-day relationship manager for assigned accounts.



SUMMARY:



TheProject Managerplays a crucial role in providing a competitive advantage for Interface Security Systems and our customers through managing the overall process around special projects. This PM could be responsible for supporting anyone of the PMO leadership team by aligning the knowledge, resources, material, and staffing required to match defined projects established. They will work closely with operations, sales, and sales engineering supporting new customer initiatives. PM will be a single point of accountability for efficient and effective flow to drive the project to successful completion.


This position reports to the Vice President of Service Delivery.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



  • Lead special projects from supporting the delivery of new product offerings to customer-specific projects that have additional project goals and objectives to ensure projects are executed effectively in line with the established Project Management process, tools, and best practices to drive overall project governance.

  • Develops a detailed project schedule that outlines the activities, tasks, risks, resources, and milestones and leads cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment to deliver projects on time, in scope, and on budget.

  • Establish effective project communication strategies including developing and presenting project performance reports to keep team members and stakeholders informed of the project progress.

  • Provide options and scenarios to overcome obstacles and conflicts by developing alternatives with rationale that is consistent with facts, constraints, and predicted consequences.

  • Manages and analyzes risks, mitigations, and change requests to ensure all parties are informed of the impact on scope, schedule, and resources and the appropriate level of sign-off is obtained.

  • Conduct ongoing project and process evaluations to identify efficiencies and apply lessons learned to help improve project and team performance.





Job Requirements

Project Manager National Accounts/Operations (Special Projects) Qualifications:




EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:







    • Minimum 5-7 years of project management experience

    • Experience communicating and coordinating at all levels of the business.

    • Bachelor's degree highly desired

    • Familiar with telecom, networking, and physical security terminology

    • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office software tools; Excel proficiency highly desired

    • Formal Project Management education and certification are a plus but not required

    • Experience managing sub-contractor labor

    • Smartsheet experience highly desirable

    • Power BI experience highly desirable

    • PMP certification desired

Working Conditions
:



This is a work-from-home role, there will be times you will be required to travel into one of the offices and/or directly to customer facilities. The company dress code is business casual. Business travel will include travel by vehicle and plane. Business travel will include overnight stays in a hotel.


You will be sitting or standing while working on your laptop for an extended period of time. A work cell will also be provided.



Position type and expected hours of work
:



This position is required to work during the company's general business hours of 8 am-5 pm, Monday - Friday. Break periods and a lunch period are provided. This position may be required to perform work duties in addition to the above business hours, depending on workload and deadlines.
