Primary responsibility is to deliver finished product and pick up soiled product at Novo Health Services customer locations (hospitals and healthcare facilities).
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Drive company truck carrying Novo Health Services products.
Represent the Company in a professional and courteous manner.
Collect finished carts:
Roll the carts from Load Building area to back dock.
Load the delivery truck by pushing the carts onto the back of the appropriate truck.
Deliver clean linen to customers.
Transport soiled linen back to plant.
Follow all federal, state, and local requirements according to DOT rules and regulations.
Follow all OSHA rules as applies to blood borne pathogens.
Coordinate daily activities with Transportation, General Managers, and Team Leaders.
Maintain vehicle, preventative maintenance, cleanliness, and disinfecting after transporting of soiled linen.
Work rotating shifts.
Understand, observe and adhere to all safety procedures and policies.
Assist in any other areas and perform other duties as required.
Participate in DOT Random Drug Testing program.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
General work environment includes traffic and exposure to outside temperatures. Additional exposure to dust; excessive noise; climate-controlled environment; and controlled access.
Travel required up to 100% of time. No overnight stays.
EXPERIENCE:
Commercial Driver’s License Class A with a safe driving record is required. One year experience driving a standard truck is preferred.
EDUCATION:
High School diploma or GED preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Able to maintain CDL Class A.
Able to obtain any other licenses or pass tests required by regulatory agencies at that location.
Able to maintain safe driving record.
Able to push/pull loaded carts of hospital supplies on and off truck and transfer to designated areas of a client hospital.
Able to communicate professionally with clients.
Ability to keep accurate log sheets.
Detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks.
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers as appropriate.
Ability to read and understand applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
TRAVEL REQUIRED:
100% travel; no overnight stays.
